frets.dev exists to build the world's open source home for mastering the fretboard.

Learning guitar, bass, and other fretboard instruments should not depend on closed platforms, abandoned apps, or expensive tools. The fretboard is a universal musical language, and the tools to explore it should be just as open. frets.dev begins with a simple belief: the best learning tools emerge when musicians and developers build them together.

This project aims to grow into a global open source ecosystem of fretboard tools - trainers, visualizers, practice systems, and experiments - all free, transparent, and community-driven. If you love music, code, or both, frets.dev is a place to create tools that help musicians everywhere understand the fretboard more deeply.
